Water leaking into galley

I have a rain water leak coming in at my wiring conduit at the aft of f-bridge and coming in behind tally bulkhead. I have interior stripped out at the present. My buddy is working at it with me and he trying to seal the sides of the f-bridge to keep water from Getting in there . Question is does the f-bridge drain rain water out the sides of the bridge or the open back. He wants to silicone the sides where the bridge connects to the cabin. Wondering if this might be a bad idea or not
