The engine is less than a year old. It starts fine, but then it just stops running within seconds of starting. The only way to avoid that from happening is to have the throttle in neutral and reeve the rpm's on starting. But even then it will often stop running when throttled down, before putting into gear.
Once it has stopped running I must prime the motor in the engine box by stepping, or pressing, on the rubber primer pump. It will restart and is typically good until the next time I stop running the engine and need to restart.
Very dangerous if near shore or in a marina and it stops.
I'm happy to pay for any help or advise. My name is Paul Cashman cell 805-698-9630. email: paul@teamcashman.com
