I have a 2000 Albemarle with twin TAMD41P stern drives. I´ve been struggling to figure out why the starboard engine only reaches 3600 RPM and the port will reach 4100. A no load test will have both at 4100 RPM. Engine seems fine with no blow by when I remove the valve cover cap. No noticeable missing when the engine runs. IT just doesn't go beyond the 3600 rpm. I've swapped drives and props, verified the tachometers, swapped fuel supplies from port to starboard, added new Racor 500 filters, had a mechanic remove the injection pump and send out for a rebuild. I also installed permanent turbo boost gauges and the slower motor is always double the boost as the good motor. If the port motor is running 10 lbs the starboard is 20 lbs. Any ideas?
