oil leak on a 2.5 year old Mercury ME 50ELPT 4S EFI outboard motor

how do I fix an oil leak on a 2.5 year old Mercury ME 50ELPT 4S EFI outboard motor. I suspect that the leak is related to a faulty petrol pump that came with the new motor. despite promises the defective pump was never replaced.
