I have a 1979 35 horsepower Johnson motor. I don't know what is wrong with it. I have put new coils on it, new spark plugs, new fuel line, new battery, etc. Anyway, the motor will crank up everytime, with muffs, but as soon as I take it out to the river and put it in the water it goes dead. I can lift the motor up, and crank it back up, but then when I put back in the water it goes dead again. I don't know what is wrong with it. Does anyone have any idea? I would greatly appreciate any advice anyone is willing to give. Thank you.
