Had to replace 4 trim pumps on the starboard engine due to failure. The fourth time the dealer used a kit to fix the check valves.
Just the other day the trim pump failed and the fluid came out of the Port engine. This is the second time it happened to the Port engine.
Dealer says he has no idea as to why this is happening so many times. He suggests that maybe there is a current in the eater from another boat that could be causing the problems.
Mercury will not replace any more pumps.
They do not know what the problem is either.
