If I let the engine sit for more than 15 minutes. When starting it it cranks for approx 8 to 12 sec. then starts up and revs up over 3000 RPMs. It will then calm down and idle as it should. Engine runs out nicely and pulls full rpms. If I shut the engine off for a short period say five minutes it will start up and idle perfectly.
I’ve replaced the diaphragms in the fuel pump with no change. Fuel pressure is 90 psi and air pressure is 80 psi. When I shut off the engine fuel pressure drops immediately to 20 psi.
I’m at my wits end I don’t know where the excess fuel is coming from.
