A little history, The motor had a major over heat and was rebuilt by a dealer. Said dealer after rebuild couldn't get the motor to start. On to second dealer he insisted the rebuild had to have been assembled wrong. He tore the motor down for a second time, reassembled it and could not get the engine to start. Enter in my dealership. We found that the intake had been melted to the point the inserts pulled through, that the bolts in the plastic intake were imbedded in plastic causing a major air leak at the head. Engine now starts. But, runs poorly or barely runs until you unplug the cam shaft sensor. The the engine wakes up with the sensor unplugged. Plug the sensor back in while running and the motor starts running poorly again move the sensor away from the cam port and engine again perks up and runs fairly decent. My question is, has anybody run into this before or can anyone point me in a direction.
