Bought boat used its a 1999 have had it back and forth to a machanic for couple of weeks have replaced the stator powerpack plugs starter fuel pump vacuume sensor fuel lines and had carbs cleaned now im driving and getting a check engine light around 20 mph and if i try to give it throttle the motor will surge also had him check the pick up line and the anti syphon valve . What could be causing this

Yes the only code for the check engine light on my motor is fuel restriction we are going to remove the anti syphon valve and the screen in the pickup tube and see if that frees up the fuel enough. Fingers crossed 🤞 if not the machanic thinks maybe a factory defect in the new oem vro fuel pump
