Honda BF150A 2006

The flush port hose does not function. I removed the hose and inspected it and it is free of any obstructions. However, when I hook a hose up to it no water goes through the engine and the hose gets blow off it's connection. I do not (per the owners manual) run the motor when trying to use the flush port connection. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Roger
