Honda BF150 2006

Was driving my boat and noticed my faria rpm gauge quit working. Looked liked the needle was trying to move, but then just quit as well as the digital hour meter, but the backlight still works. Does this sound like an issue on the engine? Thanks!

As both the backlight and the rpm meter and the hour meter it looks like a loose connection somewhere in possible in the dashboard wiring, if for example an negative wire is loose or off then all items will stop, so check back of the rpm gauge for a wiring issue, backlights are usually on a separate circuit
