I am trying to replace fuel water separator and filter that is in line on our 2001 115 HP Honda 4 stroke outboard. I bought two items: 1) Fuel pump filter, p/n 116911-759-003, (which I was able to install), and 2) Fuel Filter Set, p/n 16010-STE-E02, which is a more substantial, metal housed filter, which I was not able to replace. I did not see anywhere exposed in the engine? The filters I was looking to get are both in plastic housings and first one is first connection inside the cowling cover from gas line from gas tank. It looks like water fuel separator. This is directly in line connected to what appears to be a fuel filter, also plastics housing. These are the two items i am looking to replace but I do not see any reference to them in any parts diagram, part #'s, etc...or other on line searches. I am wondering if possible that I have my model, year or s/n of my engine incorrect? I have attached pic of fuel filter with water separator in background, the two items actually on my engine I am looking to replace. Have pics if helpful.
