I have twins 2005 150hp Direct Injection motors and do my on maintenance and service. I was opening the boat from winter and when I'm starting my starboard engine it starts but goes into fast idling. It smoked at the beginning but then when on into fast idling. I did not let it go to long on fast idling afraid it will cause additional damaged. I tried starting it multiple times but kept doing the same. I was told to let it run a little bit longer but I'm afraid it will cause more damage. What can be causing this or what can be wrong? I never had this issue in the 8 years with the motors.
