Engine get high Rpm in neural. But in gear dies

1987 four winns v6 inboard engine Can get to high rpm but when put to forward or reverse it dies. Any one know whats the problem or suggestion .

Having the same problem mine idles great and when one click down but try to accelerate and bogs down and stalls unless go full throttle it runs no Inbetween boats a 1996 bayline capri 1950 with 3.0 any help be great

I had that happening too...threw in some seafoam in the gas to clean out carb....working fine now

Boat stalls when put in gear

My boat was running fine and then all of the sudden it would only run at slow rpm's when in gear, raps out fine when in neutral but once its in gear it bogs and dies unless you leave it at or just above idle.

I'm having the same problem with my 5.7 motor. I think it's the shifting solenoids next to the carb .
But i don't know now to fix them. If you find out
