99 playcraft triton - replaced fuel filter but still wont start

I have a '99 playcraft triton with I/O 4cyl. It was missing when running. and one day wouldn't start. tried new battery. but guys said the fuel filter was problem, so they got a new one and installed it over Memorial weekend. Old one had crack in diaphragm. But engine wont turn over. They found wiring on kill switch was broken. So they by passed that. Boat still wouldn't turn over. Now the problem is "no spark". So any help or advice would be great. Bought this boat last June, took it to local marine shop to be checked out and serviced. $550 later it ran fine last summer but sat all winter. This is 3rd trip of summer and we spent holiday at launch with dead boat.
