I recently discovered that my boat will not go in reverse. It is operating fine going forward but does nothing when I shift into reverse. (On a couple of occasions while trying to determine the cause of the problem, the boat actually went forward when shifting into reverse!)
Could the problem be a faulty controller? I've also read online that a faulty actuator could be a problem as well. I think I've located the controller inside the steering console and believe I might be able to replace this part myself. But I have no idea where the actuator is located, or really what its function is.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated!
