2009 150 hp on 21' striper boat

I have a 1994 21' Striper boat with a 2 stroke 115 hp motor on it. Motor burned up and I have found a 2009 Honda bf150a that I would like to replace it with. The boat is rated for a 175 hp motor. I guess my question is a boat rated for the weight of the motor or the thrust of the motor and will it work on my boat.
