I think it is important to mention my motor only has around 100 hours on it. On one trip, I ran the motor at a higher RPM than usual. When I pulled the cowl, there was an oily film on the inside of the cowl. Someone told me that the oil blew past the crankcase seal. I was told that if it continues to do this, I could burn a piston. I have not run the Optimax since this happened.
My question is... Will it be OK to run If I keep the RPM’s in the normal range or do I need to go to the expense of replacing the crankcase seal?
