2008 mercury 4 stroke with 187 hrs on it.

I take off and hammer down and dont get very far and the a solid alarm goes off and then it spits and spudders for a while then it will run again and do it all over again. I have replaced impeller,fuel filters and treated the fuel and checked the oil.put motor on computer and no code shows up.what do i try next.i was thinking spark plugs and maybe the thermastat. anyone have any ideals.bad sencer maybe.

08 four stroke alarm

I had the same problem with my 08 merc four stroke turns out it was the thermostat changed it out and shes runnin fine now. So yes it will set off alarm and start to sputter when throttled up just my 2 cents.

Possible air in fuel

Check the fuel line connections etc maybe sucking in small amount of air. Always check the plugs for fouling in any case, you have done all the right checks and a thermostat wouldn't do that. Sensor? but which one and with such low hours unlikely.
