I was having an overheating issue with my 1993 Johnson (Tracker) 40hp. I installed a new water pump kit (with housing), motor still got hot. Had somebody look at it and told me it was head gasket. NOW after I put the head gasket in, I turn the key and get NOTHING not even the initial "beep". My dash gauges don't work but I do get power to the bilge pump, live well aerator, nav lights and acc switch.
On another forum I was told to check the 20 amp fuse on the left side of the motor (left side from inside or outside?), I CAN'T FIND IT ANYWHERE!!
