1989 OMC Sea drive was running then lost power?

Center console 1989 Sportcraft w/OMC 140hp seadrive O/B running 3/4 throttle for about 20 minutes when I throttled back to 10mph then engine started to lose power . I shifted to neutral position idled for a minute then motor shut down. No juice to starter but all accessories worked fine ,motor trim worked . I cleaned all battiery connections ,starter ,solenoid ignition connection, Starter just rebuilt prior to outing ,New batteries, rewired boat thinking corrosion still nothing at starter ? I found neural switch, in controls to have a crack in housing ,replaced switch . Tested circuit through switch and also ignition switch . Main fuse checks out. Advice with this problem will bring great outings from the fishing Kahuna ! Thank Timo
