I have a 1980 thunderbird formula with a chevy 350 and a mercruiser 260 out drive. We were out on the lake and it ran great till we went to leave. When I put it in gear it lagged and then felt like it slammed into gear but continued to drive great. When I got inside the no wake bouey at the marina it died on me. It fired right back up but would not go into drive, but would go into reverse just fine. I had to drive it to the dock backwards. Any suggestions?
