I was having difficulty starting the motor so I changed out the starter solenoid. since doing so, when starting the motor the starter sometimes (not every time) gets stuck in the engaged position and requires the negative cable to be taken off the battery terminal to get it to stop. I also have a new rectifier coming and I hope that will fix the battery charging problem. My question is can this all be related to the rectifier or could it possibly be a faulty starter solenoid form the factory? It didnt do this before the the starter solenoid was replaced....and yes all the wires are in the correct places. Thank you for any help.
