I have water leaking into the oil. I changed the oil cooler, no help. I tore the motor down, cleaned the head and shaved it, checked bearing, pistons, new gaskets, reassembled, it still leaks. I found a hole in the water jacked that cools the exhaust. It is near the top of the jacket just below the outlet to the thermostat going inward toward the power head. I can’t tell if it was machined there or corroded. I can’t tell if it goes through into the oil side of the block. Is this hole part of the cooling system or the cause of my leak? I would love to know before i go any further. I would love to avoid removing the head and ruining all the work I put into seating the head gasket. I have photos of the hole.
