It seemed like a battery issue. Wouldn’t turn engine over more than twice before sounding dead. Checked batteries. Plenty of cranking amps. Removed starter and checked. Good. Removed. Starter solenoid and replaced with used one. Now, when batteries are turned on, the engine attempts to start, even with key in off position. What went wrong. The wires all went back as they were before. Could the key switch be haywire?
