I am trying to remove the lower unit to replace the water pump impeller. I pulled the pin on the shift lever and moved it in every direction I could think of, left, right, in and out. I can't get the lower unit to drop any further than about 1 1/2 inches. What am I doing wrong? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
