I have a 1959 Chris craft sea skiff, twin flathead 6 cyl, each total rebuilds at same time, now 140 hrs. This problem developed last season and persists today. On the port engine, oil pressure gauge reads fine (same as stbd) for the 1 1/2 hr. Trip I take. After a day at beach, gauge will be erratic, usually high. Yesterday gauge took a long time to move. I have changed sending unit, swapped sending units, and swapped wiring so that stbd engine is hooked to port gauge, and port engine to stbd gauge, same symptoms. My feeling is something in gauge is heating up causing resistance? Maybe a bad ground wire? These are original Chris craft gauges, also fully restored and worked fine for first several years. I believe they were made by Stewart Warner. Any help to solve would be appreciated. The dash is a tight space, not the easiest place to dig into. Oil levels are correct and fresh each season. Thanks, Jim
