After sitting at idle for about 5 minutes the overheat alarm sounded and light went on. I had just turned new radio on 2 minutes before the alarm sounded. Turned off engine. Turned back on and identical sequence occurred. Temperature of motor and pee stream were normal . Tech thinks thermostat might be bad / sticking.
I was wondering if it might have anything to do with wiring related to radio. Or if 40 degree outdoor temp could cause thermostat to stick?
When alarm would sound, exhaust would start to get a little heavier. But, the heavy exhaust would vary in intensity.
