The other day, shortly after starting my Evinrude 50 hp oil injected 2 stroke motor with carbs, the motor died and wouldn’t restart. Today, I starting troubleshooting the problem. Pulled the plugs: they were wet. Laid a plug against the engine block and turned the motor over and the plug sparked. put the plugs back in. Decided to drain the carb float bowls. The liquid that came out of the carb float bowls was mostly oil. This outboard has oil injection. What would cause a high concentration of oil in the carb float bowls of an oil injected outboard motor? Thank you.
