I have a 21’ Chris Craft Bowrider and was on the water all day, boat was running great, 42mph at about 4700 rpm. Shut it off to swim and when we started it back up it didn’t sound right, and wouldn’t get on top of the water. Seemed to be bogging down And wouldn’t accelerate. I shut it off and had sea tow bring us back to the marina. Engine bay seemed to be very hot so I was wondering if it could be a cooling issue? Brought the boat home and started it today in the driveway and it starts and idols fine but when I try to increase the RPMs it Boggs down.
