2002 Evinrude ficht 200hp

This has happened twice in two months. Cold motor starts quickly and runs well. After 10 to 15 minutes of idling, motor just shuts down. Turn the ignition key to start the motor and there is nothing. No starter, no sound, nothing! Frustrated, I wait 20 minutes and then turn the ignition key and it fires right up. Strong steady water stream, no alarms go off, and I have a brand new battery. Help.

Sounds familiar mine would start in morning. Run for about half hour then just quit usually at 50plus mph running down the lake. No lights no alarms just dead. Wait for about 20 minutes or so and would fire up and run for 20. Turns out that the cooling line that cools the EMM was plugged and overheated. In EMM history it listed a code 25 emm temp above expected range. Cleaned out the plugged lines and sent EMM to DFI technologies and had it repaired. Seems to be fine now.
