I have a houseboat with two 1994 Johnson 60 hp VRO motors. Both were re-built one in 2017 and one in 2018. Neither have ever run the way they should since the re-builds. I purchased them (the houseboat) in 2007, and for the firs 7-8 years they ran quite well. Now they won't start without starter fluid most of the time, die when being put into gear, they are burning more oil than they should, and have very little power. A mechanic we use for some help says they need new fuel pumps, that they are drawing too much oil and clogging the system. He says the pump cannot be adjusted. I am pulling my hair out.
